Hollyoaks' Cindy Longford and Cheryl Brady are set to play cupid in the village.
After meddling minx Cindy - played by Stephanie Waring - makes friends with hunky personal trainer Noah Baxter (Law Thompson), she sets out on a personal mission to set him up with the man of his dreams, bad boy Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson).
However, it would appear bolshie Cheryl (Bronagh Waugh) has already had the same idea.
Stephanie explained: "Cindy and Noah make great friends - he really understands her. When she realises he likes Ste, she just can't help but meddle! They seem to be a little bit stuck, so Cindy decides to give them a tiny push in the right direction.
"Cheryl and Cindy are conspiring to get the boys together, but they just clash big time. They really don't like each other. They're both strong women who own businesses in the village, so they try to outdo each other in every way. There's a lot of bitching going on."
While Noah and Ste do eventually end up getting together for a romantic date, Stephanie thinks her scheming alter-ego is only trying to garner attention for herself by setting the pair up in the first place.
She added to Inside soap magazine: "Cindy doesn't really care about them - she only cares about herself. She just likes the attention, and totally loves being in on all the gossip. I don't think her heart's in it."
