Sam Attwater's horrific fall could have cost him the 'Dancing On Ice' crown.
The former 'EastEnders' actor - who is battling it out against Laura Hamilton and Chloe Madeley in this weekend's final of the ITV1 show - was attempting a daring lift with professional partner Brianne Delcourt and Nina Ulanova when he slipped on the ice.
However, in a chivalrous attempt to prevent the skating champions from sustaining serious injuries, he was sent careering towards the ice - something which he blames on his lack of "lucky pants".
Sam explained: "Saving the girls might have cost me the final. I have lucky pants that I wear each week but I didn't have them on. It's the first time a celebrity has tried a lift with two girls but I've wanted to always push it each week.
"I was doing the lift in training with Brianne and Nina and I just slipped and I tried to save both girls. So then I went down and sprained my ribs and got a blade across my knuckles. It's the biggest fall I have had and it does shake you up."
However, Sam isn't the only 'Dancing On Ice' star feeling the pressure ahead of the show's final.
Children's TV presenter Laura Hamilton brutally slashed her wrists after getting her hands tangled up in partner Colin Ratushniak's skates while performing a tricky move.
She added to The Sun newspaper: "It looks like I slashed them because of the pressure of the show but I just caught them on his skates."
