Hollyoaks bosses eye Cheryl Cole cameo

'Hollyoaks' bosses are eyeing Cheryl Cole for a cameo in the Channel 4 soap.

Producers are hoping the 'Promise This' singer - who bears an uncanny relationship to 'Hollyoaks' glamour girl Mitzeee Minniver (Rachel Shenton) - are hoping the brunette beauty will pop into the fictional village for a coffee with her doppelganger.

Gareth Phillips, producer of the soap, explained: "There are a few celebs we'd love to have on the show! If Cheryl Cole is available, she'd be good! We've done an episode where Mitzeee dressed up as Cheryl, so I hope she watched that one!

"Cheryl is always welcome to pop up to the 'Oaks for a coffee."

However, if the 'X Factor' judge can't find time in her schedule to guest star in 'Hollyoaks', Gareth admitted he is keen for the hilarious Keith Lemon to make a cameo appearance on a spa date with mischievous minx Cindy Longford (Stephanie Waring).

He added to Inside Soap magazine: "The other person we'd love would be Keith Lemon - can you imagine him having a pamper day in the spa with Cindy?"
