Disney Cruise Employee Goes Missing During Cruise

A massive search has been launched for a Disney Cruise Line employee who vanished 3 days in to a 1 week cruise along Mexico’s Pacific coast. Disney officials reported the unidentified female worker missing Tuesday after she failed to appear for her shift. A search of the ship, the Disney Wonder, was conducted but uncovered nothing relating to the worker.

 "Given the circumstances, we are very concerned about this situation and are doing everything possible to assist with the search effort and investigation," Disney Cruise Line said in a statement.

“We have also conducted a thorough and comprehensive inspection of the ship and spoken with the crew member's colleagues to gather as much information as possible,” Disney said.

Disney Wonder left Los Angeles on Sunday and arrived in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Wednesday. The Mexican Navy is leading the search. The U.S. Coast Guard and Bahamas Maritime Authority are assisting. Disney Wonder is due back in Los Angeles on Sunday.
