maniaTV today announced the
launch of “BarBeQuay with Jonah Ray”, a new comedic webTV talk show created by
writer Mason Steinberg (Crank Yankers, Andy Milonakis Show) and comedic talent,
Jonah Ray. Jonah Ray, a frequent actor on Comedy Central, G4, and ESPN
who is best known for his popular web comedy series “The Freeloaders Guide to
Easy Living” on Superdelux.com and “Master of the Internet” sketch on
FunnyorDie.com, will break out of the traditional interview talk show by having
a party for each of his special guests and conversing in an informal, crowded
party setting. Jonah will ask each guest a series of personal and
nonsensical questions that can only be answered through performance,
improvisation, and comedy. The ten part series will feature well-know comedians
such as Janeane Garofalo, Steve Agee from the Sarah Silverman Show, Rob Hubel
from Human Giant, Matt Braunger from Mad TV, and Har Mar Superstar, an American
born U.K singer famous for his comedic R&B music and on-stage presence.
The show is Executive Produced by maniaTV VP, Amber J. Lawson and is the
latest series in maniaTV’s Comedy on Demand Network. Watch

“This is a great format for
showcasing prominent comedians and actors in an informal, real life setting”
said VP of Programming, Amber J. Lawson. “The party atmosphere lends
itself to a vibe that is unique and authentic. We know from other shows, that
the more genuine an interview setting, the more trust we can maintain with the
audience and thus, the advertiser”.
