James Corden for new mailroom comedy

James Corden will write and star in new BBC2 comedy 'The Wrong Man'.

In the new show - set to air in summer 2012 - the funnyman will team up with former 'Gavin and Stacey' actor Matthew Baynton (Deano) to play a hero mailroom worker whose life is changed forever by a kidnap, according to The Sun.

This is James' first comedy since playing loveable rogue Smithy in the smash hit comedy 'Gavin and Stacey', which he also co-wrote, but insiders have promised "It will be very different."

While he has teamed up with Matthew, James has previously revealed he would love to work with frequent collaborator Mathew Horne again despite their sketch show 'Horne and Corden' and film 'Lesbian Vampire Killers', failing to be as successful as 'Gavin and Stacey'

Admitting the duo had made mistakes, he said: "I would work with Mat again in a heartbeat. That whole time of working with Mat when we made the sketch show and were in that film, you learn from that. What you realise is you can't make anything without mistakes."
