Sherry Johnston, Bristol Palin's Future Mother-in-Law, Arrested on Drug Charges

Sherry L. Johnston, the soon-to-be mother-in-law of Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol, was arrested Friday on felony drug charges in Alaska.

Johnston was charged with six felony drug counts Thursday following a lengthy undercover state police investigation. Her son Levi Johnston, 18, is having a baby with Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin.

Sherry Johnston, 42, was released from jail on $5,000 bail. Cops refused to detail the type of drugs involved, or the amount.

According to reports, Palin's due date is Dec. 20, this upcoming Saturday. After it was reported that Palin was pregnant, Johnston and Palin said that they were engaged to be married. He then joined her mother's campaign trail, accompanying the family and John McCain as they traveled to campaign for the presidential election.
