People With Alcohol Addiction Are Turning Towards Alternative Programs

In today's society, more than ever, people with an alcohol abuse problem are realizing that there are more treatment options available other than traditional “12-step” programs. That is why Narconon Freedom Center announces that they provide one of the most recognized and successful approaches of alternative alcohol treatment.
The short and long term effectiveness of traditional programs is something that has been questioned for decades. Many past clients of 12-step programs believe that solid Christian principles are the only way to deal with the disease of alcoholism. When in fact it is not a lifelong disease and an alcoholic is not powerless for the rest of their life.
“I don’t believe that people want to consider themselves powerless over anything in life,” Travis Albritton, Intake Counselor of the Narconon Freedom Center says. “The key to ending alcohol addiction is to find a program that will actually handle any and all issues associated with alcohol abuse, and get the person to confront those circumstances in their life which started them down that path.”
Relapsing after completing a treatment program is emotionally devastating for an individual. And it takes years sometimes to get the person back into treatment, if they are fortunate enough to get back into a treatment facility. If you do find a treatment program that targets handling the underlying issues of alcohol abuse, ones chances of lifelong success and never having to go through treatment again are substantially higher.
Albritton adds, “I was raised in a Christian family and have always adhered to Christian principles. But, when my addiction took control of my life I realized how much it had damaged my spirituality. And after failing several times at traditional programs my family decided to send me to an alternative program that was based around individual areas of my life.”
Narconon Freedom Center, located in Albion Michigan, is recognized by professionals in the education and medical fields as one of the most successful alternative alcohol programs since 2002. The program has been designed to handle both the physical and mental problems connected with addiction, and follows up with a variety of life skills courses that are designed to educate an individual on how to live a productive enjoyable life without alcohol.
