Elizabeth Taylor's burial spot revealed

Elizabeth Taylor's final resting place of rest lies next to the 'Angel of Memory'.

The 79-year-old actress passed away from congestive heart failure last Wednesday (23.03.11) and was laid to rest at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles the following day in accordance with Jewish custom.

The 'Cleopatra' star's body is now in a crypt adjacent to a 10 foot tall white marble statue of the angel, named as the 'Angel of Memory' by 'The Art Guide of the Forest Lawn Park'.

The 70-year-old statue is located in the Great Mausoleum's Memorial Terrace in its Hall of Memory and was crafted from imported marble by Italian sculptor Ermenegildo Luppi.

Other stars buried at the Great Mausoleum include Clark Gable, Jimmy Stewart and Elizabeth's close friend Michael Jackson.

The funeral for Elizabeth was attended by her four children and 10 grandchildren, while fans gathered at the gates of the cemetery to pay their respects to the star.

It is believed a public memorial will take place to the star in the coming weeks.

In the meantime Elizabeth's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been covered with floral tributes to her.

One mourner even matched his bouquet to the colour of her 'unique' eyes.

The unnamed man said: "We asked the florist to select flowers that would commemorate the colour of her eyes. We all know her eyes were a unique violet colour."
