Burger joint name offends

An American restauranteur is facing oppostion from locals for calling her business 'Fat Ho Burgers'.

The unusual name has offended some members of the Texan community, including the religious owners of the neighbouring Gospel Cafe - but 23-year-old Lakita Evans insists they need to find a sense of humour.

She said: "It's not calling people a ho. It's just like they say, 'Oooh that ho is big,' or, 'That ho is tight!'

"Look what's going on in Japan. It's like clear this world is not gonna get any better. Why cry and be depressed? The economy is bad. Somebody gotta keep a sense of humour around here."

Pastor Marsha Martie said: "Would've been nice to think a little more sensitively."

The menu at Fat Ho Burgers is as colourful as the joint's name, with choices such as Sloppy Ho Brisket and Supa Dupa Fly Ho with Chz.
