60-Year-Old Man Killed by Grandson’s Pit Bulls in Southern California

A 60-year-old grandfather was attacked and killed by his grandson’s pit bulls while standing in the backyard of his Rubidoux, California home on Friday afternoon.

It is unclear why the two pit bulls attacked the man but an animal services spokesman said the male and female not been spayed which may have contributed to their aggressive behavior.

The grandfather died on the scene.

Both the male pit bull, weighing 107 pounds, and the female pit bull, weighing 52 pounds, were euthanized.
