The New York Knicks have been struggling since Carmelo Anthony joined the team, but Melo thinks that good things will start to happen if the team adopts a certain attitude.
"For our own confidence, our own satisfaction, it's a must-win for us," said Anthony, referring to the Knicks vs. Orlando Magic game that will take place on Monday night. "I think if we approach the game like that tonight, good things will happen."
Since Melo was acquired by the Knicks on February 21st, the team has gone only 7-12. They have lost their last six games and are currently three games under a .500 season record. They will enter Monday's game versus Orlando as the number 7 team in the Eastern Conference, only three games ahead of the Indiana Pacers for the 8th and final playoff spot in the conference.
"We're not a real confident team right now because we're losing all the time," said Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni, who seemed to echo Melo's sentiments when he said that it's time to "draw a line in the sand and play as hard as we can play."
The Knicks are 0-3 against Orlando this season.
