Kate Winslet "squirms" when she watches herself on screen.
The 'Mildred Pierce' star revealed although she has always wanted to be an actress she finds the whole process of watching her own movies excruciating.
She said: "I always wanted to be an actress for as long as I can remember, and I'm incredibly fortunate that my career has turned out the way it has.
"I watch my films once, and that's it. The experience of making a movie is far removed from watching the end result. It's exciting, but it still makes me squirm."
Although Kate is still passionate about her craft, she recently admitted she decided to take some time out after won the Best Actress Academy Award for her role in 'Revolutionary Road' in 2009 because she didn't feel productive.
She said: "I just waited until the dust had settled and I was ready to engage with - it sounds so w**ky - my creative side again. In the last few years I've allowed myself to acknowledge the fact that I do really need my job. I need that outlet.
"And so, not only did I feel good and ready, I felt good and ready to be destroyed by a role again."
