The Miami Heat are going to play the Cleveland Cavaliers in Cleveland for the second time this season on Tuesday night, and LeBron James says that his reception in Cleveland can't get any worse than it was the first time around.
"Can't get no worse than it was December 2nd," said James, referring to the date of the Heat's first game against the Cavs. "I know that for a fact."
During the first visit, the stadium was filled with LeBron-hating Cavalier fans, who were hoping that the Cavs would be able to defeat LeBron and his new Miami Heat team. But James ended up scoring 38 points that game to lead the Heat to a 118-90 win over Cleveland. Since that game, the Heat have gone 41-14, while the Cavs have are now 14-58 for the season. The Heat have also won both of their home games against Cleveland this season.
"That was a huge step for us," said James. "After that game, we took off."
There will be uniformed police located near the Miami Heat's bench, but most seem to expect that the game will not be as intense.
"I don't think it's going to be quite that crazy," said Cavs coach Byron Scott. "I don't think it's going to be a zoo like it was last time. It might be two notches below what it was. It's still going to be a very intense type game. I think fans remember what happened last time we played here and so do we."
