Kerry Katona says her mother is like a "fifth child" - because has always had to look after her.
The 30-year-old TV star accepts her relationship with her mum Sue Katona - who placed Kerry in foster care when she was a child - has been difficult over the years and even now Kerry still feels responsible for her wellbeing.
The pretty blonde - who has four children, Molly, nine, Lilly-Sue, seven, Heidi, three, and two-year-old son Max from her two marriages - said: "I love my mum, more than anything, but she's like a fifth child sometimes. I've been through so much with my mum as a child, I mean my mum was a self-harmer, I was in a foster home, I had to look after her. But, you know, she's my mum, she's the only one I've got, the only one I'm ever gonna have."
In the first episode of her new reality TV show, 'Kerry Katona - The Next Chapter', Sue is seen asking her daughter if she can pay for her to go on a cruise in the future, seemingly oblivious to Kerry's money troubles.
The former 'Dancing On Ice' contestant was declared bankrupt in August 2008 and her co-manager Neville Hendricks criticises Sue on camera for asking for a holiday.
But Kerry - who is currently living in a rented home in Surrey with her kids following her split from husband Mark Croft - insists her mum now realises she is short of cash.
Speaking at the launch of the series at London's Soho Hotel on Tuesday (29.03.11), she told BANG Showbiz: "My mum's done a lot of growing up herself, but I don't think she's realised the seriousness of the bankruptcy. But if you watch the show she soon does!"
