Kirsty Gallacher returning to Sky Sports

Kirsty Gallacher is to return to Sky Sports News.

The 35-year-old presenter - who started her TV career on the channel in 1999 - has signed up to present a revamped 'Good Morning Sports Fans' and says she can't wait to get to work.

She said: "I'm delighted to be joining Sky Sports News HD. Sport has always been my passion. As a viewer I've watched how the channel has grown and developed over the last few years and I've remained in contact with many people at Sky, the scale of what it does now is breathtaking. I can't wait to start."

Andy Cairns, Executive Editor for Sky Sports News, added: "We're all delighted that Kirsty is joining - especially at such an exciting time for Sky Sports News. She compliments a team in the newsroom with a wealth of talent and experience.

"Our viewers have always loved Kirsty and her natural, conversational style which is perfect for the new look 'Good Morning Sports Fans' show we're launching later this summer."

Kirsty - who has appeared on ITV1's Ant and Dec's 'Saturday Night Takeaway' and hosted Sky1's 'Gladiators' - will begin her new job in May.
