Lady Gaga is to become a fashion columnist.

The 25-year-old singer - who is known for her love of making statements with clothing, including a dress made entirely of meat and Hermes handbag she scrawled over in pen - will begin writing for V Magazine from May as well as "resurrecting" video blog diary Transmission Gagavision.

She wrote on twitter: "I have some exciting news little monsters. I begin next month as a Fashion+Art Columnist for VMagazine. + I'll be resurrecting 'TRANSMISSION GAGAVISION' episodes starting next week!(sic)"

Fashion conscious Gaga recently revealed she was suffering with hair loss because of how often she had dyed her tresses.

She said: "I had to get a chemical haircut because my blonde hair is falling out."

She also confessed she is not good with taking her extensive make-up off when she goes to bed.

Asked how many nights a week she sleeps in her make-up, she said: "Seven. That's not good for your skin, but I'm blessed with good genes."
