LeBron James and the Miami Heat Lose to the Cleveland Cavaliers
There was much more fanfare surrounding LeBron James and the Miami Heat's first appearance in Cleveland this year but the Heat overcame an emotional crowd and won the game handily. The second trip to Cleveland did not go as well. James and Co. were beaten by the worst team in the NBA 102-90.
In a physical game the Cavaliers were led by J.J. Hickson and Anthony Parker who scored 21 and 22 points, respectively. Ryan Hollins also played well for the Cavs, using his size and physicality to reroute shots and disrupt the Heat's offense. Hollins finished with 10 points and three blocks.
James recorded a triple-double in the loss with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists. He also hit a three quarter court shot at the end of the third quarter that did not count initially. The clock expired prior to James releasing the ball. Upon review officials determined that the clock began running too soon and the shot was allowed to count.
James also had trouble getting into the Quicken Loans Arena on Monday. Security denied James entrance to the facilities garage when he arrived with a driver and second car. The Cavaliers said that players are allowed to bring extra personnel with them as long as it is cleared with security first. James had not received permission for the entourage. He returned to the arena later without the extra people and was allowed in.
