Young Gay Man Beaten Outside NYC McDonalds In Hate Crime

Damian Furtch, 26, a young gay man was left with multiple black eyes and several stitches after being beaten at the NYC West Village McDonald's. NYPD detectives are currently investigating the assault as a hate crime. The confrontation with the attackers started inside the fast-food restaurant and quickly spilled out onto Sixth Ave. early Sunday morning where Furtch says he was assaulted.

"I thought I was safe in the city I loved but apparently wearing fluorescent colored clothing and pink shoelaces really bother some f-----g a--holes to blind side me and hit me," He angrily captioned the disturbing images, "Four Stitches, Thanks Bitches!"

Furtch declined comment after emerging from the NYPD 6th Precinct stationhouse with two detectives. He and a male friend had just left their job at the nearby Pink Tea Cup Restaurant and were inside the McDonald's when the two attackers started to harass them.

As they went back out to the street, the fists and the anti-gay epithets started to fly.

The 6-foot-4-inch athletic Furtch is an aspiring actor and model – and described as some as a "gentle giant" who had just moved to New York from California.

Police are still searching for the thugs who beat him.
