Oklahoma
Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford has been named AP College Football Player of the
Year, a nice follow-up to his recent Heisman Trophy victory.
Bradford
collected 27 votes while Texas QB Colt McCoy finished second in the voting with
17 and Florida Gators QB landed third with 16 votes.
The
sophomore signal caller will be looking to cap off his remarkable year with a win
over Tebow and his Gators in the BCS national championship game on Jan. 8.
Bradford led his Sooners to a Big 12 title after throwing for 4,464 yards and
48 touchdowns while tossing just six interceptions.
