Kimberley Walsh wants to present 'The Xtra Factor'.
The Girls Aloud beauty admits she would love to take over from Konnie Huq - who was dropped from the ITV2 spin-off show earlier this month after failing to impress viewers - although would find it hard to stay impartial because bandmate and close friend Cheryl Cole is a judge.
Kimberley - who shot to fame after winning a place in Girls Aloud after competing on television talent show 'Popstars: The Rivals' in 2002 - said: "It's too easy to criticise Konnie - it's a tough job trying to keep everything moving on an hour of live TV. A lot of people tell me I should do it, but I think I'd be too biased with Cheryl being a judge.
"Then again I'd love to do it because I've been there and know what the contestants are going through so I'd be able to help them. I get on well with Simon Cowell, he's always been really nice. He's got something about him that I like and respect."
While Kimberley - who has previously presented for 'The X Factor' during the show's final and also helped Cheryl choose her finalists in 2008 - is keen for the coveted job, she faces competition from the likes of Jeff Brazier and Emma Willis.
