Mel B's husband refuses to reveal his secret dinner recipes to her.
The former Spice Girls singer is following a healthy eating plan as she is pregnant with her third child, and while she feels "lucky" that spouse Stephen Belafonte does all the cooking in their household, she has no idea what he does to make their meals so tasty.
She said: "My husband does all the cooking. He usually cooks the kids a hearty meal - like spaghetti Bolognese, and then he'll cook me either fish or chicken, often with quinoa. I am so lucky he is such a great cook.
"He marinates the fish or chicken with different herbs and special spice ingredients he won't tell me about."
Mel - who has two children Phoenix Chi, 12, and Angel Iris, three, from previous relationships - also revealed she tucks into a meal every "two to three hours" but is careful to fill up on healthy options.
She added in an interview with the Daily Mail newspaper: "For breakfast I have an egg-white omelette with turkey, avocado, peppers and onion. Lunch tends to be fairly light - a chicken or fish salad. I have to eat regularly - every two to three hours, as I hate it when your body starts telling you it has no sugar. Horrible.
"I may drink peppermint or another herbal tea, I don't tend to drink much caffeine - it's so hot in LA, you can easily get dehydrated."
While Mel tries to lead a healthy lifestyle, the 35-year-old star has previously revealed she loves to "pig out" on calorific treats at weekends.
She said: "I try to eat healthily apart from the weekends when I'll pig out and have pizza or go to the cinema and have hotdogs and popcorn or a bit of chocolate. It's good to give yourself a treat at the weekend - then your body doesn't want to overindulge all week."
Mel is due to give birth to her first child with Stephen - who has a six-year-old daughter Giselle from a previous relationship - this summer.
