Johnny Vegas weds

Johnny Vegas has got married.

The former 'Benidorm' star tied the knot with PR consultant Maia Dunphy in a ceremony at a Spanish ranch in front of 120 family and friends, who were treated to a traditional Mediterranean menu of gazpacho, cured meats and salad at the reception.

A source said: "It was a beautiful and very romantic setting. Maia looked stunning. Johnny is clearly besotted with her and they never stop smiling when they're together, It was very touching."

Maia invited her priest from her native Dublin to preside over the marriage while Johnny- who is famed for his drinking escapades - made sure the guests all had a good time.

The source added: "Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of sore heads the next morning."

The happy couple have now flown off on honeymoon.

Johnny, 39, and 34-year-old Maia started dating in 2009, a year after his divorce from his first wife Kitty - mother of his seven-year-old son Michael - was finalised.
