Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton have been offered marriage advice by 'Glee' star Jane Lynch.
The 50-year-old actress - who married her longtime partner Dr. Lara Embry last year - says the royal couple should make their private relationship their "primary focus" as they embark on public duties which may leave them open to scrutiny.
She said: "Your main love relationship needs to be your safe harbor. And they're going to be doing a lot of things outside, and they have a lot of duties other than the duties to their marriage.
"And they have to really keep that primary, that has to be their focus. What happens at home is important and then they'll have that safe harbor."
Jane, who wrote a message to William and Kate in Yahoo's online Royal Wedding Guestbook, which gives stars the chance to send their congratulations to the couple who will marry on April 29, was also asked her opinion on how the future queen should adapt to joining the monarchy.
She explained: "You just have to respect, especially with the royal duties, you have to respect the history and the customs. She knows what she's getting into. She's been with him for what, about eight years? So, she knows the score,"
The star also offered marriage advice from her on-screen alter-ego, acid-tongued teacher Sue Sylvester.
She said: "Be sure you dominate your partner, let them know who's boss!' That's probably what she'd say."
