LEGOLAND create mini royal wedding

Britain's Prince William's forthcoming wedding has been created in miniature, with a version made from LEGO.

The second in line to the throne will marry Kate Middleton on April 29 at London's Westminster Abbey and a model depicting the couple heading for their wedding breakfast at Buckingham Palace has been crafted from the colourful building blocks.

The scene is on display in the company's theme park in Windsor - where Queen Elizabeth has a castle - and depicts the happy couple kissing in the palace forecourt while the queen looks on and well wishers offer presents.

The theme park's own professional Prince William look-a-like, Andrew Walker, will open the attraction to the park's visitors tomorrow (01.04.11).

The Royal Wedding scene including the crowd, guests and balcony took model makers over 30 hours to build and uses around 10,000 bricks.

Each figure took an hour to build and contains between 30 and 40 LEGO bricks.

Buckingham Palace itself features 160,000 individual bricks and took 550 hours to build.
