Taylor Swift said selling 20 million albums is "beyond comprehension".
The 'Back to December' singer was awarded a plaque at the conclusion of the European leg of her world tour in London for selling the phenomenal amount of her three albums, 'Taylor Swift', 'Fearless' and 'Speak Now'.
She said: "It's just sort of beyond my comprehension to get a plaque like that, and the fact the fans have done that much for me in such a short period of time is unreal, and I'm so excited and so thankful."
Taylor, 21, said she had no idea a few years ago that she would ever be playing shows on the scale that she now is, or even visiting some of the countries her world tour has taken her to.
She added: "I couldn't think of a more perfect way to end this European run. I've gotten to experience just parts of the world I never thought I'd get to see, nonetheless play shows in and have the crowds singing the words back to me."
The country pop singer will start playing dates in the US at the end of May. Before that she will perform at the Academy of Country Music awards in Las Vegas on Sunday (03.04.11).
