Courteney Cox gets seal of approval

Courteney Cox and her 'Cougar Town' co-star Josh Hopkins would make a great couple, according to the actor's father.

The actress has been photographed in swimwear frolicking on the beach with Josh, and although they have denied they are romantically involved, Josh's dad Larry Hopkins would be delighted if they were a couple.

The American politician told website RadarOnline.com: "I would approve of it. They are both very good looking people.

"I know he likes her and is very fond of her. He's said she's a very nice person, If he approves of her, then I approve of her."

Courteney and Josh - who play on-screen lovers - were pictured together on the island of St. Barts in the Caribbean where they are currently on a trip with mutual friends from the show and Courteney's six-year-old daughter, Coco.

Josh has previously dated one of Courteney's closest pals, her former 'Friends' co-star Jennifer Aniston who he took on a number of dates last year.

Larry added: "I know he went out on some dates with Jennifer Aniston, but I don't know any of the details. I assume everyone he dates is serious."

Although Josh has no children of his own, Larry insists the 40-year-old actor is good with children, something that would be important to 46-year-old Courteney.

The Kentucky Congressman said: "I know he's very good with children and gets along with them really well. He's really good with all his younger relatives."

Courteney separated from husband David Arquette in October 2010 last year after 11 years of marriage, but both insisted the break-up would be for a trial period.
