David Tennant has become a father for the first time.
The former 'Doctor Who' actor's fiancee Georgia Moffett gave birth to a baby girl, Olivia, earlier this week and both mother and daughter are doing well.
A friend said: "Georgia and David could not be happier. Olivia is beautiful and their families are over the moon."
David - who was the 10th doctor in the BBC show - proposed to Georgia over Christmas and it has been speculated they will marry on New Year's Day 2012.
David, 39, met 26-year-old Georgia - who has an eight-year-old son, Tyler, from a previous relationship - when she guest starred in an episode of 'Doctor Who' in 2008.
Georgia is the daughter of Peter Davison, the fifth Time Lord and the actor has previously given his blessing to the relationship.
He said: "It's great because David is a genuinely nice guy - and also a very fine Doctor Who. I'm delighted Georgia has found happiness because she hasn't always had an easy life."
David was succeeded as Doctor Who by the long-running series' current star Matt Smith.
