Kate Hudson praises 'beautiful' Goldie

Kate Hudson says mother Goldie Hawn looks better the older she gets.

The 31-year-old actress - who is currently pregnant with her second child - is jealous of her 65-year-old mum's body and features because she doesn't show any signs of ageing.

Kate said: "She is just beautiful. She is out of control! OK, I am pregnant, but how is my own mother thinner than me? She looks better than I do, how is that possible?"

Kate - who is expecting her baby with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and also has a seven-year-old son, Ryder, from her marriage to Chris Robinson - says Goldie is in such good health the whole family are convinced she will outlive everyone.

She revealed to the Daily Express newspaper: "Everyone always talks about their parents and what will happen but I swear my mom is going to outlive all of us!"

Kate recently revealed her how "unconventional" family has made her realise the importance of "happiness and honesty" with her loved ones.

The 'Fool's Gold' star was raised by Goldie and stepfather Kurt Russell, who has parented her since she was three, and subsequently she has numerous siblings.

The complex nature of her own upbringing meant she didn't feel so guilty about splitting from Ryder's dad.

Kate - whose biological father is musician Bill Hudson - said: "The most important thing for Ryder's life is love, happiness and honesty. I have the most unconventional family ever. My mom was married twice, and then she met my dad (Kurt) who was married before.

"I've got a brother and half-brothers and sisters, and we all have the most wonderful relationships. My mom and dad are around a lot - we all live within seven blocks of each other. You can't go wrong if you're honest and your intention is to be happy."
