Emma Stone's mother embarrassed her at the Golden Globes by asking Angelina Jolie questions about her children.
The 'Amazing Spider-Man' star took her mother Krista as a "date" to the awards ceremony in January, and while she was honoured to sit next to Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt - who raise six children together - her parent made some strange comments.
Recalling the event, she said: "I didn't expect it at all. And I got to sit next to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the ceremony. My mom was with me; she was my date. She was saying things to them like, 'Do you have kids? Let me tell you something.'
"I was like, 'Mom, you know they have kids. It's Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. You are aware they have kids.' "
'Easy A' actress Emma famously convinced her parents to let her go to Hollywood when she was just 15 by giving them a slide show presentation on computer programme Power Point.
Because she started out in films at such a young age, Emma had to miss some schooling, but says she's making up for it now with some of her roles, such as playing a scientist in her latest film.
The 22-year-old actress added to the US edition of Glamour magazine: "There's so much I'm interested in that I didn't discover in high school. For 'The Amazing Spider-Man', because Gwen is a scientist, we went to a lab in San Diego, and we were learning about biology.
"And I'm fascinated! Because I never went to biology class in high school."
