Scientists in Brazil have found a way to make cars from fruit.
Fibres found in pineapples and bananas have been used to create a new generation of super-strong plastics which could be used to make eco-friendly motors.
The new materials are currently being tested by manufacturers and could be used within two years.
Dr Alcides Leao, from Sao Paulo State University, said: "The properties of these plastics are incredible.
"We believe that a lot of car parts, including dashboards, bumpers, side panels, will be made of nano-sized fruit fibres in the future. For one thing, they will help reduce the weight of cars, and that will improve fuel economy."
