Beauty Queen Laura Zuniga Arrested, Weapons Seized

Zuniga, 23, was with her boyfriend Angel Orlando Garcia Urquiza, who is also the brother of “one of the greatest capos [bosses] of narcotraffic,” and Ricardo Garcia Urquiza, a member of the Juarez cartel.

The eight suspects were flown to Mexico City where they will face arms charges.

Zuniga recently won several beauty pageants including Our Beauty Sinaloa, The Elections of the Queens and Hispanoamerican Queen 2008. She is set to represent Mexico in 2009’s Miss International pageant. It is unclear if she will still compete.
