Temperley to design Pippa Middleton's bridesmaid dress?

Alice Temperley is set to design a bridesmaid dress for Kate Middelton's sister Pippa.

Kate's younger sibling had a three hour fitting at the designer's London studio last week ahead of the wedding of Britain's Prince William and his 29-year-old fiancee on April 29.

Her mother Carole was also in attendance at the shop, and Pippa was seen leaving on Thursday afternoon (31.03.11) with a "shoe bag".

A source told MailOnline: "Pippa was in high spirits and very smiley. She was carrying what seemed to be a shoe bag, so possibly any gown being designed isn't for Kate but a bridesmaid dress for Pippa."

However, British designer Alice is also thought to be a possibility to design the dress Kate will wear on the big day, as on her first official engagement with William she wore one of her creations.

An insider added: "Kate loves Alice's collections, especially the simplicity of the designs."

Representatives for the designer said there were no plans she "knew of" to create items for the event.

A spokesperson said: "Not that I know of. It's nothing I can comment on."
