Tinie Tempah writing second album

Tinie Tempah is hoping to have his second album out by October.

The 'Written in the Stars' hitmaker is already working on the follow up to his debut 'Dis-covery' - released October 2010 - and while he is experimenting with new sounds, doesn't want to stray too far from his previously successful formula.

He explained to website Gigwise: "I've started it already so I'm hoping to get it out by October or November time. I always like to work with different people on each project I do, just so you get a different sound and angle.

"I will be working with some of the same people I did for the first album, you know what they say, 'If it aint broke then don't try and fix it'."

While the 22-year-old rapper - real name Patrick Okogwu - has been heavily influenced by stars in the hip hop genre, such as Eminem and Dizzee Rascal, there is a broad range of artists he listens to.

He said: "I first wanted to get into music when I was about twelve but when I was fourteen I started doing my own recordings.

"I had loads of influences when I was growing up so that always helped. So Solid Crew for me was a major influence, Dizzee Rascal, Eminem with the 'The Marshall Mathers LP', 'The Slim Shady LP' and DMX a bit earlier on my teenage years.

"Aside from that I listen to everything. My mum was always into country music; Dolly Parton and Kenny Rodgers."
