Missing snake tweets

A missing snake turned up on twitter in the US.

The 20-inch Egyptian cobra disappeared from the reptile house at the Bronx Zoo but has since appeared on its own page on the micro-blogging website, generating 120,000 followers.

A joker under the name of @BronxZoosCobra has been writing posts as the deadly creature such as: "On top of the Empire State Building! All the people look like little mice down there. Delicious little mice."

Listing its location as "Not at the Bronx Zoo", it has "visited" tourist attractions including the High Line, the Museum of Natural History and Ray's Pizza.

In the end the slithering creature was found in a dark corner of its own tank.
