Serbian Police Nab KLA Fighters Suspected of War Crimes

Serbian police operating near the Kosovo border have arrested 10 men suspected of belonging to the Kosovo Liberation Army and charged them with war crimes associated with deadly attacks in 1999.

The fighters are suspected of murdering at least 51 Serbs and more than 150 abductions from June 1999 to October 1999.

According to the war crimes office in Serbia the men had targeted non-Albanians as they attempted to rid them from an area near the Kosovan capital of Pristina.

Serbian officials made the arrests in Presevo, a town near the border with Kosovo.
