The
New England Patriots (10-5) have gone through a tumultuous year in which they
lost Tom Brady in the opening game of the year but have fought their way to an
impressive record in the AFC East and could find themselves with a division
title and a playoff berth with some help on Sunday.
New
England will have to drop the struggling Buffalo Bills (7-8) who started the season
4-0 but dropped eight of their next ten before beating the Denver Broncos last
week. The Bills have not won a game against an AFC East opponent yet and fell
20-10 against the Patriots in Week 10 and their only win this year against an
opponent with a winning record came against the Broncos.
The
Patriots have won three in a row to remain in the chase for a playoff berth but
they’ll need some help on Sunday if they are to reach the playoffs. To win the AFC
East the Patriots will need to beat the Bills and the New York Jets will have
to beat the Miami Dolphins. New England could also secure a wild card berth if
they win and the Baltimore Ravens fall to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
