By: Tayna Gonzalez

A three-vehicle accident on Monday afternoon in Macomb Township claims the lives of two Richmond residents and injures two others.

The victims included a 75-year-old woman, Adele Fallone and her husband, 77-year-old Carmine Fallone. They were riding in a 1992 Grand Marquis when the incident occurred around noon at the intersection of 23 Mile and Romeo Plank.

A 2008 GMC Envoy had stopped at a traffic signal on the westbound lanes of 23 Mile and was waiting to turn south onto Romeo Plank in the center turning lane. The Grand Marquis was also heading westbound on 23 Mile but was unable to stop the vehicle.

The Grand Marquis then crashed against the Envoy  and veered into the eastbound lane of 23 Mile, hitting an eastbound Dodge Caravan head-on. Two people that were in the Caravan were transported to Henry Ford Hospital in Clinton Township. The driver of the Envoy was released at the scene. Authorities did not disclose where the Fallones were taken.

According to investigators, the Fallones were not wearing seat belts. The names of the other victims have yet to be released by authorities.
