Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade sat out of practice on Tuesday as he continues to recover from a bruised right thigh.
Wade was kneed in the thigh by New Jersey Nets forward Travis Outlaw during the Heat's victory against the Nets on Sunday. As of Tuesday, he is considered to be a game-time decision for the Heat's home game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.
"I'm going to see how I feel. I'm going to be day to day," Wade said. "I'm going to get treatment and therapy and make a decision tomorrow."
Wade understands the situation very well. The Heat are only a half-game ahead of the Boston Celtics for the number 2 spot in the Eastern Conference. And with the playoffs less than two weeks away, he must balance his recovery with the need to secure an ideal playoff seed.
"We're battling for [No.] 2 right now, you want to be out there," said Wade. "You also want to make sure going down the stretch with the playoffs coming and big games this weekend that you make the right decision."
