American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (AAPH) Oil Production Increasing in Oklahoma, Target Raised to 300 BOPD at NOS227 Well

QualityStocks would like to highlight American Petro-Hunter, Inc. (OTCBB: AAPH), a goal-oriented exploration and production (E&P) company aiming to become an intermediate level oil and gas producer within 12 months. The company is in production at the Poston Project in Trego County Kansas and the North Oklahoma Project.

In the company’s news yesterday,

American Petro-Hunter reported excellent news regarding the recently drilled NOS227 well, which, according to a series of successful tests and subsequent engineering analysis, should be able to greatly increase output to 300 barrels of oil per day after fracture stimulation.

The 3,820 foot deep NOS227 penetrates the Mississippi Formation in a nice 85-foot section and will be the third producing well at the North Oklahoma Project in Payne County, Oklahoma. Output from the well, which the Company has a 50% interest in, will be sold to the original purchaser Sunoco alongside output from the No. 1 and NOJ26 wells; excellent moves for AAPH towards its goal, especially considering the current price trend in oil.

The well completion contractor to AAPH, based in nearby Cushing, has extensive work developing horizontal and vertical wells in the play and reported that a new multi-stage surge frack has been extremely effective at garnering enhanced production in the Mississippi.

Nearby vertical wells have paid out in under 90 days after such fracking and confidence is high that the NOS227 will be no different. Such enhanced reservoir stimulation has produced consistent production in the 300 BOPD range for other wells drilled in the township where the Company’s lease block is located.

The Company is now preparing for the multi-stage surge frack implementation while the pump jack, tank battery and disposal facilities are constructed.

President and CEO of AAPH, Robert McIntosh, indicated that ongoing efforts to map technical and engineering data for the Mississippi and Woodford formations continued to produce daily insights as to how to proceed for the development area. McIntosh stressed the key importance of observing the major developers in the area and learning from their mistakes and also successes.

McIntosh projected that future development in the area looks solid and that the Company’s Mississippi and Woodford formation activities would continue ahead of expectations, helping to further quantify AAPH’s overall profile for regional development with each successful well.
