Aston Merrygold wants to appear on 'Take Me Out'.
The 23-year-old JLS star hasn't had a girlfriend since splitting from Natalie Rush two years ago, but is hoping the ITV1 dating programme - which is fronted by Paddy McGuiness - can help him find love again.
He said: "I suppose I'm going to have to go on 'Take Me Out' to find someone.
"I think I'd be a bit self-conscious going on the show, but I'd definitely try it. I've got nothing to lose."
The show sees 30 women competing to win a date with an eligible bachelor, who shows off a range of skills and attributes to impress the group.
However, if the women dislike the guy, they turn off their light, with him eventually choosing between the remaining potential dates, and Aston admits he worries he would fail to win over any of the 30 single ladies.
He added to the Daily Star newspaper: "I was talking about it the other day with my mum.
"She said she wouldn't want me on the show as she's scared I'd get all my lights turned off.
"It would be embarrassing."
