Davina McCall hopes Emma Willis is the new 'Big Brother' host.
The show's former presenter has ruled out fronting the show again when it returns later this year to its new home on Channel 5 but would be delighted if the former 'Big Brother's Little Brother' star landed the role.
She tweeted to Emma: "Are you hosting? Please say yes..."
While Emma insists she has not yet been approached for the role, she admitted she is excited about the programme returning to TV just a year after it was axed after 10 years on Channel 4.
Emma tweeted: "I can't quite express how extremely excited I am at the return of bb.
It's gonna be like Christmas that last 3 months! Then it really will be Christmas! 2 christmas's back to back. That's what I'm talkin bout! (sic)"
However, Emma reportedly faces competition from 'Ultimate Big Brother' winner Brian Dowling and presenter Myleene Klass to land the coveted role.
Josie Gibson, winner of the last series of the show on Channel 4 in 2010, would love to see either Brian or Emma present the show.
She told OK!TV: "I think Brian or Emma would be wicked."
Davina recently ruled out a return to the show but vowed to tune in once it starts.
She said: "I truly believe that Big Brother has legs. It is an AMAZING program that I have LOVED and dedicated a huge and brilliant part of my life to. I think any channel that took it on would be very lucky indeed. Its followers are a dedicated bunch!!
"But I made a decision after the end of the last series that I would not present it again.
"Someone new should present it on a new channel. A fresh start for the show...with me still as its biggest fan looking forward - exciting!"
