Students stoned at prom

A prom in the US came to an early finish after students ate brownies laced with marijuana.

Three pupils at North Andover High School in Massachusetts were sent to hospital as a precaution after they were violently sick from eating the pot-laced treats.

After an investigation police say they think almost a dozen students knowingly ate the brownies and will face a school displinary.

Atkinson Police Chief Philip Consentino said: "I'm leaning toward the assumption that they knew what they were doing.

"Where the brownies came from, who had them, we're not sure."
