CornyForty Cornerstone in American Cornhole Sport of Cornhole Mix

American Cornhole, LLC a Milford, Ohio based company on a quest to make the game of cornhole a sport added impact to its CornyForty List for 2009 by adding a guaranteed minimum $10,000.00 Participation Purse to the mix.

The American Cornhole CornyForty List is a performance based ranking system identifying the best cornhole players in the world - the Who’s Who of cornhole players. Getting on the List is easy. Getting a Top 40 “CornyForty” ranking is not easy. Only the best of the best are Top 40 caliber Cornhole Players and only they are the ones that share in the minimum $10,000.00 Participation Purse.

To be in the running for the Participation Purse a player must be a paid member in the American Cornhole Organization and an active CornyForty List member. To get on the CornyForty List a cornhole player must first register to compete in the CornyForty field and then be skill challenged by an ACO agent or deputized agent of the ACO. A player needs a SCR Score. Any serious cornhole player, male or female, can be skill challenged (SCR Score) for ranking points and a position on the CornyForty List. A player can be skill challenged as often as they would like during the season. The ACO will only use the best active SCR Score within the calendar year towards a Cornhole Players CornyForty ranking.

To move up in the CornyForty rankings and to share in the Participation Purse, it helps to put in a good performance at any of the ACO Master Series TopGun events throughout the year. The top eight finishers in a TopGun evet win points towards their CornyForty standing based on the level of competition as rated by the ACO SCR system.

The ACO Master Series season starts with the IceHole Classic in February, the CornHole de Mayo in May, the Maize Kraze in July, the Cornhole Classic in September, and the TurkeyHole Classic in November. The ACO U.S. Nationals King of Cornhole Tournament held in Las Vegas in January of the following year is the culmination of these tournaments and the payout of the minimum $10,000.00 Participation Purse. An end of the year standing in the Top 40 on the CornyForty List is a guarantee to play in the “King of Cornhole” Tournament and a shot at the Participation Purse.

American Cornhole, LLC wants to move the backyard game of cornhole to center stage as the national sport of cornhole. Over the last several years it has standardized cornhole boards, bags, and cornhole rules, so as to give serious cornhole players a level playing field. Now with the addition of the minimum $10,000.00 Participation Purse for 2009 to be paid at the 2010 U.S. Nationals “King of Cornhole” Tournament the ACO has moved itself one step closer.
