LeBron James' Mother Gloria Arrested in Miami

LeBron James is having a terrible Thursday. His Miami Heat lost to the Milwaukee Bucks last night by five points. This morning he is faced with the news that his mother, Gloria James, was arrested and taken into custody by the Miami Beach police early this morning.

Gloria James was arresteed at Fontainebleau Hotel at 4:47 a.m. The Miami Beach Police spokeswoman Deborah Doty would not comment on what led to the arrest, but are going to issue a statement later today.

According to media outlets Gloria James faces misdemeanor charge after assaulting a parking attendant at the hotel.

This is not her first encounter with the law. In 2006 she was arrested in Akron, Ohio on drunken driving charges. That charge resulted in a suspended sentence, a fine and an order to complete drug and alcohol classes. She pleaded no contest to several charges including reckless operation, speeding, disorderly conduct and physical control of a motor vehicle under the influence.
