Lindsay Lohan is set to play the daughter of a mobster in a new movie.
The troubled actress is in talks to portray Victoria Gotti - the daughter of infamous New York mobster John Gotti - in a new film about his life, 'Gotti: Three Generations', which will also star John Travolta.
Gotti's son, John Gotti Jr., has worked on the script for the film and many members of the Gotti family will be on set.
Mark Fiore, the executive producer of the film, told Entertainment Weekly: "We have a real inside look. John Jr. will answer any question you ask him. The Gotti family, they don't try to put a sweater over things."
In 1992, Gotti - who died in 2002 - was convicted of five murders, conspiracy to commit murder, racketeering, obstruction of justice, illegal gambling, extortion, tax evasion and loansharking and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
This is the second role Lindsay - who is currently facing charges of felony grand theft after being accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from an upmarket Californian boutique - has been linked to this week.
She is set to play murdered actress Sharon Tate in the movie 'Eyes of a Dreamer', which is based on the life of murderer Charles Manson - whose followers famously killed pregnant Sharon in 1969.
