Japan Hit by Another Earthquake

By: Daun Lee

Today two the already ravaged Japan was hit by another earthquake off the north eastern coast. The 7.4 magnitude earthquake shook buildings and made the power go out. Luckily though there wasn’t a tsunami despite the warnings. The workers at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear plant were forced to evacuate halting the efforts contain solve their containment issues. The Japanese have had a devastating winter that will take years to recover from. The nuclear crisis seems to be going on and radiation has contaminated their food and water. Also today in Mexico City a 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck but not much damaged was caused.

With so many natural disasters and Middle Eastern unrest going the rise in the numbers of people who seek asylum will likely increase. The United Sates has a very liberal immigration policy so many people who need shelter in countries safe from political unrest and devastation from natural disasters may apply for citizenship with guidance from an immigration attorney.

The Japanese seem to be dealing with their tragedies very well but there will still be those that decide to leave and emigrate. A person who wants to leave their native countries can become American citizens with the assistance of an immigration lawyer who is equipped with the experience to make it an easier process. When personal safety is a concern leaving approval of a citizenship application up to chance isn’t a desirable option but the help of an immigration attorney can be a necessary assurance.
