While releasing the calendars from their Art Contest, PostcardMania CEO Joy Gendusa is continuing to present the winning artists one by one in her weekly newsletter to her 80,000 email-database – the 7th artist just recently released. The judging process was a blind one, ensuring no one had any idea who had submitted each piece in order to keep it unbiased. The result? A great mix of art pieces from PostcardMania employees, customers & even prospects, celebrating the Holidays and New Year with economy yet with their imitable style.
The 7th featured artist is Heather Smith-Levin.
Heather Smith-Levin is PostcardMania’s Diversity Programs Account Executive. She started photographing for fun over 20 years ago when she found out her school's yearbook class had darkroom facilities. After that you were never able to find her. She loved doing her own black and white developing, taking advantage of the techniques only available in the dark room. Since the advent of digital, she still prefers to photograph in black and white. She has not yet taken to the "darkroom on the computer," i.e. photo-shop, and does long for that red light and the chemical smell that always lingers. Heather currently lives in Clearwater, Florida with her family, photographing all of them as often as she can.
