Ashley Tisdale had her tattoos approved by her mother.
The 'High School Musical' actress would never do anything her parents disapprove of, so her mom Tina accompanied her when she went to get inked, in order to ensure she liked the designs.
Ashley said: "I've always wanted to be sure my parents approve of what I do. Even with my tattoos, my mom went with me. The 'believe' tattoo is because my mom always told me to believe."
Ashley agreed to bare all for Allure magazine's forthcoming annual naked issue, and hopes the resulting photoshoot will make people realise she is not a "young girl" any more.
She told the publication: "I'm 25, almost 26, but people think of me as much younger because I look young. Being in this shoot was me saying, 'I'm not just the young girl everybody thinks I am. I'm actually a woman.'"
Ashley recently revealed she has been getting cheerleading lessons from her mother to prepare for her role in college drama 'Hellcats'.
She said: "I was never a cheerleader but luckily my mom was, and she gave me some great tips.
"It was hard but I enjoyed it and it's a great way to keep fit."
