Blake Lively for Glinda in Oz: The Great and Powerful?

Blake Lively is trying to decide between main roles in 'Oz: the Great and Powerful' and 'Savages'.

The 'Gossip Girl' star is being pursued by directors Sam Raimi and Oliver Stone for their respective productions but due to overlapping shooting schedules this summer can only sign on to one, according to Variety.

Sam's 'Oz: the Great and Powerful' has already secured James Franco as the title character and Mila Kunis as Theodora and he is keen to add Blake to the cast as Glinda, the Good Witch of the East.

Oliver - who lost his first choice of Jennifer Lawrence to 'The Hunger Games' - is hoping to land Blake for the role of Ophelia, the companion to a pair of drug dealers (Aaron Johnson and Taylor Kitsch) forced to work for a Mexican drug cartel after the girlfriend they share is kidnapped in 'Savages', as she impressed with a gritty role in Ben Affleck's 'The Town'.

Benicio Del Toro and Salma Hayek are in talks to play members of the drug gang who kidnap Ophelia.

Blake will next be seen on the big screen opposite Ryan Reynolds in 'The Green Lantern'.
